   A number of caravan and boat thefts    17 April, 2015

Just to make you all aware we have had a number of caravan and boat  thefts in the Cambridgeshire area including South Cambs.   In addition to this generators, power tools and heating oil continue to be a target. 
 
These are the crimes specifically relating to this kind of theft since the 9th April 2015 to date and for the whole of Cambridgeshire. 
 
CF0147590415                  16/04 between 0700 – 1000 hrs

Kings Dyke, Whittlesey
Offender/s have attempted to steal a 21ft Picton Sports Cruiser boat and a 12ft long rowing boat from the river at the above location. Both boats have been found further down the river but the Honda marine outboard on the Picton boat has been stolen. It has a 20 horsepower engine and worth £3000.

Cockbrook Lane, Old Weston, Huntingdon
Vehicles have attacked forced the fence by driving vehicles through it and gained the initial access from the neighbours field. They have then stolen 2x caravans, no further details at this time, worth between £30-40 thousand.
UPDATE
2x attempted theft  - a Searcher Elite and a Swift Bridgemere.
2x stolen – a Swift Canwell in white worth £12,000 and no details of the other at this time.
CCTV checked and the theft happened between 0300 – 0400 hrs.

Newmarket Road, Stow cum Quy, Cambridge
Theft of a Knaus Sport 450FU white and grey caravan, serial number WKN45317J8W042116. Pin colour wood interior, blue and yellow upholstery and curtains. Damage to the o/s between the wheel arch and front of caravan.

Hollow Lane, Ramsey
Offender/s have jumped the dyke in order to enter the farm yard and stolen 5x vintage wheels from a 1965 Volkswagen Beetle.

Sixteen Foot Bank, Christchurch, Wisbech
Theft of a Berserler caravan from a farm yard where it was being stored along with £1200 worth of various tools, 3x cases of bottles of wine and various bed linen.

Short Nightlayers Drove, Chatteris
Chains have been cut to gain entry and the offender/s have stolen a large white generator with a red stripe, 110kvs model P110E2 serial number FGWPPDU3HRPC04537 and dimensions 4ft wide x 6ft high x 10ft long.
 
 
CF0141000415                  11/04 between 2130 – 2145 hrs
St Ives Road, Hemingford Grey, Huntingdon
Informant reporting he has just disturbed some people trying to break into the farm and steal a trailer and power tools.  A dark coloured Passat and a Blue Subaru drove away from the above location.  Informant heard them pulling a trailer down the drive, after they broke into the shed.  This is the 4th offence at the location in approximately in 6 weeks. Statements taken and 301 raised.

GOOD NEWS and the benefit of a Tracker!!!!
Mill Lane, Gorefield, Wisbech
Cambs advised of a tracker notification for a stolen quad bike from Essex. On attendance at New Bridge Lane, officers located the bike along with several other stolen vehicles. The vehicles were found inside a foreign HGV. The driver of the HGV was has been detained at the PIC 35KL/500/15.

Coppingford Road, Coppingford, Huntingdon
Theft of a 12volt diesel pump, unknown make or model but is Smartwatered. The pump was attached to a very large diesel tank, and the CCTV shows a male with a medium sized white van with a roof rack.
