News  »  Funding for cycle path upgrades through FD gets approval

In a meeting on 9th June the Greater Cambridge City Deal Executive Board gave unanimous approved to the scheme for cycle paths along Horningsea Road and Ditton Lane along with four other schemes. The scheme does leave a small gap between the existing cycle path from Horningsea and the proposed new path, but in a response to Vince Farrar from FD Parish Council on the point, the Board said they would give consideration to this area as part of Tranche 2 of the City Deal.

The Board has delegated approval of the final scheme layout to the Executive Director of Economy, Transport and Environment at Cambridge County Council.
