|24-hour access to Green End needed by Anglian Water tankers 25 June, 2016|
A mains sewage pipe has fractured at the pumping station on Green End, causing raw sewage to flow into Osier Holt. Engineering works have started but will extend into next week.
In the meantime, a convoy of specialist tankers are pumping and removing the sewage from the pumping station in Green End, and an area around Wrights Close has been coned off to ensure these large tankers can turn day and night.
When parking along High Street and Church Street, please consider the need for these lorries to pass through without difficulty on a 24-hour basis until further notice.[+ go back...]
